Terms of Service
These Terms set out the ground rules for booking a trek with Trova and using our website. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy before you book.
About Trova
By using this site or booking a hike with us, you agree to the terms below. For how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
Booking & Payments
A booking is confirmed once payment (in full or as a deposit, depending on the trip) has been received and you get a confirmation email from us.
Prices listed include what's stated on each hike's detail page; anything not listed as included is the traveler's responsibility.
Payment is processed through our third-party payment provider. We don't store your full card details.
Group size, dates, and route availability are subject to change until a booking is confirmed.
Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations made 15 days or more before departure are eligible for 50% refund, minus any non-recoverable costs (permits, deposits paid to local partners).
Cancellations made after this window may not be refundable.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a trek due to unsafe conditions, insufficient group size, or events outside our control, in which case you'll be offered a full refund or the option to rebook.
We strongly recommend travelers carry independent travel insurance to cover cancellations, delays, and medical emergencies.
Traveler Responsibilities
You're responsible for arriving in the physical condition appropriate for your chosen route's difficulty rating.
Any relevant health conditions should be disclosed to your guide before departure.
Travelers are expected to follow guide instructions throughout the trek, particularly around pacing, route decisions, and safety calls.
Required travel documents, visas, and vaccinations are the traveler's own responsibility to arrange.
Liability & Assumption of Risk
Hiking and trekking, particularly at high altitude or in remote terrain, carries inherent risk — including but not limited to altitude sickness, adverse weather, difficult terrain, and limited access to emergency medical care.
By booking a trek with Trova, you acknowledge and accept these risks. Trova and its guides will take reasonable care to ensure your safety, but we are not liable for injury, illness, loss, or delay arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We require all travelers to carry valid travel and medical evacuation insurance covering the altitude and activities of their chosen route.
Permits & Route Changes
Certain hikes require permits or park registration, arranged on your behalf as part of the booking. Availability of permits is not guaranteed until confirmed.
Guides retain full authority to adjust, shorten, or reroute a trek — including turning back — where conditions, weather, or traveler safety require it. Such changes do not entitle a traveler to a refund unless the trek is cancelled entirely by Trova.
Intellectual Property
All content on this site — including route descriptions, photography, and branding — belongs to Trova or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site or a new booking after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Our Country, without regard to conflict of law principles.
